Self-Employed Midwife

My name is Sofia Anderson I am 53 years old and originally from Russia where I was a Midwife for 23 years.

I came to New Zealand in 2001 and trained as a Registered Midwife under New Zealand requirements and graduated in 2008.

In 2008 I began working as a Midwife at North Shore Hospital, and more recently changed to independent practice as a self-employed midwife with MotherWise.

I am married to a Kiwi and I have a 30 year old son and gorgeous granddaughter.

I reside on the Shore, and look after women from all areas of the Shore and central Auckland City, birthing at North Shore Hospital, BirthCare and Auckland Hospital's National Woman's.

My midwifery philisophies are centered around being with the woman on their journey to motherhood.
